Leave the doubt. Invite courage.

This year I will be going after a dream I have had for a very long time... as a multi-passionate entrepreneur, I have had many mission-based and purpose-driven career dreams. Some of them are fulfilled, and some of them have been buried. 

One of them was becoming a lawyer. 

Today, I am 33 years old and until now, I never even considered that dream. Well eh, because of that voice in my head:  "You are not good enough! Who do you think you are? You will never get in! You are not smart enough!" etc. 

Well, obviously, I was completely wrong.

A couple of weeks ago I was accepted at @luleatekniskauniversitet for law studies. And even then, I have been checking the acceptance letter like 60 times to ensure that that was not a mistake. I even sent an email to the admission unit to double check that there was no mistake. 

I don't know yet if I will become a full-time lawyer, but I wanted to give myself a chance to explore this dream with no strings attached. Simply allow myself to be on this journey and see where it takes me. I am deeply passionate about human rights. I can't stand when people are mistreated or being hurt, or discriminated against, etc. And that happens every day no matter if you are an entrepreneur, self-employed or working for someone else. 

In my young adulthood and first years in my business, I was used and treated that way many times, especially by authorities. Because I did not know the law, I did not know how to protect myself, my work, rights, ideas, etc. As an adult, I want to know better. 

At 17, I was in a trial myself. First time I lost. Second time a new lawyer came across my case, and she stood up for me and my rights fully. And we won. We won because someone supported me and didn't let the system and authorities use me and my circumstances. I still remember that day like it happened yesterday.

One thing is for sure, with this additional competence, I will be able to serve my clients - other coaches, consults, creatives, organizations, teams, and corporations - on an even better level. 

The end of 2021 came with new and exciting beginnings. 

What dream are you ready to give yourself a chance to explore? Just to explore?! You don't have to know everything before you begin. All I’m asking you to do is to give it a shot at least. And when you are on the journey, it's easier to decide which direction to take or what to do next. 

Leave the doubt. Invite courage.
